Exploring how \u00ab<em>Homo Selfie<\/em>\u00bb takes images, here is an important feature of the <em>reportage<\/em> investigation\u2026. Portraiture was once very laborious, and only a certain artistic mastery could have satisfied the client.<\/p>\n<p>Modern <em>social media<\/em>, essentially based on the hypochondriac use of ready-made images, taken in &#8220;<em>automatic<\/em>&#8221; mode, in addition to the content, have facilitated the exaggerated expansion of this human weakness with many self-portraits (<em>selfies<\/em>).<\/p>\n<p>I photographed to do photographic justice to the blindness towards our surroundings. What we don&#8217;t look at, we don&#8217;t observe, therefore we don&#8217;t photograph: to photograph only ourselves. The photograph of the trip was the deposit to look at for the future: the memory. The <em>selfie<\/em> is a \u201c<em>look at me where I am!<\/em>\u201d: now and now. Afterwards it will no longer be necessary, the replacement of following moments will be irreversible.<\/p>\n<p>That would have been just one of many ways of documentation. As a matter of fact, the primary subjects were the backdrops that told the stories of those people, of those places.
